Career protestor and agitator Greta Thunberg was en route back to Sweden on Tuesday after Israeli authorities detained her, alongside several other activists, aboard their Gaza-bound “selfie yacht.”
The 22-year-old, fully named Greta Tintin Eleonora Ernman Thunberg, and her companions refused to view video footage of the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack before they were released, officials said.
According to AFP, among the 12 individuals on board the vessel Madleen, which attempted to sail into Hamas-controlled Gaza, five French nationals remained in custody after declining to leave Israel voluntarily.
Israeli forces intercepted the vessel—operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition—in international waters on Monday, as first reported by Breitbart News. The yacht was then towed to Ashdod port, and its passengers were transferred to Ben-Gurion Airport for departure arrangements, according to Israel’s Foreign Ministry.
Defense Minister Israel Katz explained that he ordered IDF officials to show the activists “the full, unedited footage of the October 7 attacks as recorded by Hamas terrorist body cameras.”
Katz told GB News, “Greta and her flotilla companions were taken into a room upon their arrival to the screening of the horror film of the October 7 massacre… when they saw what it was about, they refused to continue watching.”
He continued: “The anti-Semitic flotilla members are turning a blind eye to the truth and have proven once again that they prefer the murderers to the murdered and continue to ignore the atrocities committed by Hamas against Jewish and Israeli women, adults, and children.”
Representing Israel’s Foreign Ministry, officials confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that “Greta Thunberg just departed Israel on a flight to Sweden (via France),” accompanied by an image showing her aboard the aircraft.
Regarding the five French activists, France’s Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot stated that one agreed to leave Israel voluntarily and was expected to return home the same day. The remaining five were undergoing formal deportation proceedings.
“Our consul was able to see the six French nationals arrested by the Israeli authorities last night,” Barrot said on X. “One of them has agreed to leave voluntarily and should return today. The other five will be subject to forced deportation proceedings.”

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee indicated in a recent interview that the United States no longer firmly backs the creation of a Palestinian Arab state specifically within the boundaries of historic Israel and suggested that such a state might potentially be formed in a different location.
Speaking with Bloomberg journalist Ethan Bronner, Huckabee questioned the long-held assumption about where a future Palestinian state must exist. “Does it have to be in Judea and Samaria? Does it need to be somewhere different? Does it need to be an opportunity for people to have a place that is completely their own? Or is it going to be in the existing areas that are currently under the dominion of the PA?”
He continued, emphasizing that while he doesn’t rule out the idea of a Palestinian state entirely, tying it to a specific location is what creates difficulty. “I don’t believe anybody can say, ‘It’s impossible, it’ll never happen.’ But if someone wants to declare that this is the exact strip of geography that is going to be the future Palestinian state, that’s where the complication comes from.”
Huckabee asserted that no possibilities should be dismissed outright. “Every option should be and could be on the table.”
He also pointed out the vast land holdings of Arab and Muslim nations compared to Israel and hinted at the feasibility of an alternative location. “It could be [established elsewhere]. I’m not suggesting that it would be or should be, just that it could be.”

New findings from the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project reveal that Joe Biden’s reliance on an autopen to sign presidential documents during his term as president was far more extensive than previously known.
Kyle Brosnan, the lead investigator for the Oversight Project, reported that his team examined hundreds of official proclamations archived by the National Archives from Biden’s first two years in office.
“There’s around several hundred of them — and through that analysis, we were able to determine that there was a third autopen signature that was used to sign those proclamations” as early as his first year in office in 2021, he said.
The investigation revealed that three distinct autopen signatures were used to authorize documents during Biden’s time in office. Brosnan’s team concluded that the flawless repetition of signatures across these proclamations pointed to machine-generated signing, leading to the discovery of a third signature pattern previously unnoticed.
In May, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) stated that the panel will continue looking into Biden’s mental fitness and the use of the autopen in official acts.
“The American people deserve to know who was actually calling the shots in the Biden White House, because it wasn’t Joe Biden. His mental decline was obvious to anyone paying attention. But instead of being honest, the Biden administration, Democrats in Congress, and the legacy media lied and covered it up,” Comer said.
“They gaslit the American people while propping up a man who was unfit to lead,” he added.
Responding to these concerns, Biden issued a statement last week asserting full control over his executive responsibilities. “Let me be clear: I made the decisions during my presidency. I made the decisions about the pardons, executive orders, legislation, and proclamations. Any suggestion that I didn’t is ridiculous and false.”
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump signed an executive order last week directing the attorney general to investigate whether individuals in Biden’s White House were involved in misleading the public about Biden’s cognitive state, and to review the validity of policy documents signed using the autopen.

President Trump stated on Tuesday that National Guard troops stationed in Los Angeles would remain deployed until authorities deem the area secure, while sharply criticizing California Governor Gavin Newsom for losing control of the violent anti-ICE demonstrations.
“When there’s no danger, they’ll leave,” Trump told reporters during a briefing in the Oval Office.
“You would have had a horrible situation had I not sent them and horrible — you’d be reporting on a lot of death and a lot of destruction that’s not going to take place. I think if you look every night, it got less and less. They were met with very strong force, the bad people, the bad sick people that do what they do.”
Trump revealed that he had spoken directly with Newsom over the phone just one day prior and urged him to manage the situation more effectively.
“I told him to do a better job,” the president said.
The federal deployment began over the weekend, with Trump approving the mobilization of 4,000 National Guard troops and an additional 700 Marines. The move came in response to the chaos that erupted on Friday following a wave of immigration enforcement operations in Los Angeles, America’s second-largest city.

The Yerushalayim District Court ruled Tuesday to extend the detention of the man suspected of setting fire to the beis medrash of Rav Yitzchak Yosef. While the suspect’s identity remains under a gag order, key details of the investigation were cleared for publication today.
Until now, nearly all aspects of the case had been under strict confidentiality. However, the court has now allowed several elements of the case to be made public, including the list of charges being considered and confirmation that no national security threat or foreign involvement is suspected.
The judge’s remarks during the hearing highlighted the severity of the allegations: “The level of suspicion is very high.” According to the court, the arson was carried out in two separate locations, which added to the seriousness of the case.
The court authorized the publication of the charges the suspect is facing: intentional arson of a building, making threats, willful damage to property, and defacing real estate.
Despite speculation, the investigation has ruled out any suspicion of a politically motivated or terrorism-related act. The incident is being treated as a criminal matter, and the suspect will remain in custody as the probe continues.
The fire caused significant damage to the beis medrash where Rav Yitzchak Yosef delivers shiurim.

Tension is mounting in the political corridors of the Knesset—and especially in the private rooms of the chareidi factions—just 24 hours before the expected vote on the bill to dissolve the Knesset. At the heart of the storm is a weighty dilemma: whether to go through with the threat to support the bill or hold off in light of new developments.
Chareidi parties have previously declared that they would vote in favor of dissolution as a protest against the government’s failure to deliver on its promise to pass a new draft law, a commitment made during the formation of the current coalition.
However, for the first time, chareidi representatives are openly grappling with a dilemma, as Knesset Legal Adviser Adv. Sagit Afik has now become directly involved in the formulation of the draft law’s text, working with the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
According to Afik, completing a final version of the draft law will require at least another week of work. This extended timeline complicates the chareidi parties’ efforts to register their protest against Prime Minister Netanyahu through tomorrow’s vote.
Adding to the complexity is a warning issued by the Prime Minister’s Office: should chareidi parties support the bill in its preliminary reading, it could prompt the Attorney General to formally declare the country in a pre-election period, a move that would freeze government operations, appointments, and other legislative work, something the chareidi parties deeply wish to avoid.
Despite mounting frustration with Netanyahu, many chareidi lawmakers continue to express trust in Legal Adviser Sagit Afik, with whom they have maintained a long-standing working relationship across multiple legislative efforts.
The core question now facing the chareidi bloc is whether to delay their political statement by granting the legal team more time or to follow through with tomorrow’s vote and potentially walk away from the process thereafter.
As of now, the clock is ticking toward what could be a decisive evening vote.

Rav Dov Landau will travel to Los Angeles, California, for the first time in his life as part of a major campaign to raise $150 million to support yeshivos and kollelim across Eretz Yisroel.
The mission, organized in light of government decrees targeting Torah learners and drastic funding cuts, marks the beginning of an intensive effort by Gedolei Yisroel to safeguard the future of the Olam HaTorah.
The historic journey will kick off this coming Motzaei Shabbos, with participation from several of the generation’s gedolei Torah: Rav Dov Landau, Rav Moshe Hillel Hirsch, Rav Avrohom Salim, the Sanzer Rebbe, Rav Yaakov Hillel, the Rebbe of Rachmastrivka, Rav Dovid Cohen, and Rav Shimon Galei.
Rav Landau will fly to Los Angeles, where he is expected to arrive on Sunday and hold key meetings with prominent philanthropists and Torah supporters in the area.
This visit marks the launch of a broader fundraising campaign that will continue in various cities and states throughout the United States.
Earlier today, in preparation for the trip, Rav Moshe Hillel Hirsch visited the home of Rav Dov Landau to receive a birkas tzeis’chem l’shalom ahead of his own departure to the U.S., where he will join Rav Landau next week for the continued leg of the campaign on behalf of the Keren Olam HaTorah.

A deeply moving story was shared this week during the weekly shiur delivered by the mashpia, Rav Meir Itamar Rosenbaum, author of Derech Emunah and nosi of the expansive chesed network Amud HaChesed – Lachmei Mordechai.
Rav Rosenbaum began by reflecting on Parshas Naso, read this past Shabbos, which speaks about an individual who takes upon themselves the vow of nezirus, refraining from wine and worldly indulgences. The Lev Simcha explains that the Torah calls such a person kadosh laHashem—holy to Hashem—even before they begin fulfilling the vow. The very act of accepting to improve oneself elevates a person in Shomayim to the level of holiness, even prior to action.
In that spirit, Rav Rosenbaum told the following story:
“Several years ago, in Bnei Brak, a Jew who had recently arrived from abroad came to a local shul to daven and noticed an old friend. Overjoyed, he approached and tried to engage him in conversation, but the friend did not respond. He only mumbled unintelligibly and gestured vaguely. Confused, the man waited until after davening.
“After davening, the friend approached him and said: ‘My dear friend, let me explain why I didn’t answer you earlier. As you know, I manage a cemetery. One day, I made a terrible mistake. I mistakenly authorized the burial of a deceased individual in a plot that didn’t belong to him. The grieving family, overwhelmed by their sorrow, didn’t notice. But I realized what I had done….and the potential legal implications were enormous. Fearing both prosecution and public outrage, I went late at night with several chevra kadisha members and moved the body to its correct resting place.
“‘I thought the matter was resolved and unknown to anyone. But days later, I got a call from a well-known secular attorney who wanted to purchase a grave in a section designated for shomrei Shabbos. I politely declined, explaining that the area was exclusively for Sabbath observant individuals as per halachah, and that this impacts the soul of the deceased.
“‘Suddenly, the attorney said: ‘Listen, I know exactly what happened with the mistaken burial. If you don’t sell me that plot, I’ll sue you and expose everything.” I was terrified. But I calmly told him I wouldn’t violate halachah no matter what. He warned me: “I’ll see you in court, and you’ll pay for this behind bars!”
“Sure enough, a few weeks later, I received a court summons. I was filled with dread. My livelihood was at risk, and I feared what was to come. I knew that Hashem runs the world and was sending me a message. So I turned to Hashem and said: “Ribbono Shel Olam, the hardest thing for me is to stop talking during davening. But I accept upon myself, from now on, not to say a word during tefillah in shul. Please, in this merit, help me—though I am unworthy.”
“Months passed. I never heard back from the court. Eventually, I discovered that the case had mysteriously been closed. To this day, I hold strong to that commitment—that’s why I didn’t speak to you in shul.”
“The visitor from abroad, moved to his core, thought to himself: “It’s been 20 years and I’ve never been blessed with children. This is hard for me too, but maybe this is what will bring my salvation.” He too took upon himself the same kabbalah—absolute silence during davening.
“This man,” Rav Rosenbaum shared, “is a prominent community activist from Canada whom I personally know. Wherever he goes, people surround him. And yet, from that day on, he did not utter a single word in shul. The difficulty was tremendous—people kept approaching him, asking for help, sharing news—but he stuck to it. Eventually, he moved to a different shul to avoid the constant interaction.
“And that very year—he was blessed with twins, against all odds. I witnessed it myself.”
Rav Rosenbaum concluded with the timeless words of Chazal: “’Open for Me an opening the size of a needle, and I will open for you an opening like a great hall’ (Shir HaShirim Rabbah 5). Why a needle? Because a needle pricks. It hurts. When a person takes upon themselves even a small but painful improvement, Hashem responds by opening all the gates of blessing. As the pasuk says: ‘Ki nezer Elokav al rosho—For the crown of his G-d rests upon his head.'”

In a rare and momentous occasion that has stirred excitement across the chassidishe world, four brothers—all sons of the late Divrei Emunah of Toldos Aharon—will each be marrying off a grandchild tonight, in weddings taking place in Eretz Yisroel and the United States.
This extraordinary evening features simchos in the courts of Toldos Aharon, Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok, Nachlas Aharon, and a wedding in Boro Park on behalf of the family of their late brother, Rav Aharon Kahn zt”l, Av Beis Din of Divrei Emunah in Monsey.
Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok Wedding in Beitar Illit
The eldest brother, the Rebbe of Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok, is marrying off his grandson, the son of his son, Rav Yoel Kohn, Rav of the Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok kehillah in Ramat Daled in Beit Shemesh, and son-in-law of Rav Shmuel Bransdorfer, a member of the Badatz of the Eidah HaChareidis. The chosson is marrying the daughter of his uncle, Rav Shimon Bransdorfer, who is also a son of Rav Shmuel and a son-in-law of the Kossover Rebbe of Yerushalayim. In this case, the grandfather is a zaide to both the chosson and the kallah. The chasunah will take place in the auditorium of Beitar Illit.
Toldos Aharon Wedding in Meah Shearim
The Toldos Aharon Rebbe will celebrate the wedding of his granddaughter, daughter of his son Rav Aharon Kahn, Rav of the Toldos Aharon kehillah in Monsey and son-in-law of the Rebbe of Kretchnif-Sighet. She will be marrying the grandson of their brother, Rav Moshe Kohn, Rosh Yeshiva of Toldos Aharon, who is a son of Rav Yoel Kohn, a son-in-law of the Rebbe of Premishlan. The wedding will be held in the Toldos Aharon beis medrash in Meah Shearim, Yerushalayim.
Nachlas Aharon Wedding in Bnei Brak
The third simchah is that of the Rebbe of Nachlas Aharon, the fourth of the brothers, who is marrying off his granddaughter, the daughter of his son-in-law, Rav Avigdor Pollak, Av Beis Din of Kehillas Chassidim in Ramat Hey in Beit Shemesh, and son of the Rebbe of Bergsas. The chosson is a grandson of the Rebbe of Machnovka-Belz and a son of Rav Alter Moshe Twersky, Rav of the Rachmastrivka kehillah in Beit Shemesh. This wedding will take place at the Machnovka-Belz beis medrash in Bnei Brak.
Fourth Simchah in the U.S.—Family of the Late Rav Aharon Kohn
The fourth celebration tonight will take place in Boro Park, Brooklyn, by the family of the late Rav Aharon Kahn zt”l, Av Beis Din of Divrei Emunah in Monsey. His grandson, the son of his son-in-law, Rav Simcha Bunim Rokeach of Kozlov, is marrying a daughter of Rav Dovid Tzvi Schneebalg, son of the Av Beis Din of Hanipoli. This wedding will be held at the Kerem Menachem Hall in Boro Park.
Thus, all the sons of the Divrei Emunah zt”l—except for one, the mashpia of Mevakshei Emunah—will be marrying off grandchildren this evening.
Looking ahead, a joint sheva brachos is reportedly being planned for this coming Monday, which will bring together the entire family and all four rebbes for a joint celebration.

Several Israeli defense contractors have entered into formal agreements with Qatar—deals that received full authorization from the highest levels of the Israeli government—to supply advanced military equipment, ammunition, cyber systems, and other defense technologies, Maariv reported on Tuesday.
These deals were greenlit by key entities including the Defense Ministry, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and received special sign-off from Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu himself.
The defense companies were only permitted to proceed with the contracts after obtaining the necessary clearance from the Foreign Ministry, the Defense Ministry, and Netanyahu’s office.
Netanyahu played a central role in facilitating these transactions, granting final approval for firms such as Elbit Systems, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, and Israel Aerospace Industries to move forward with their negotiations and eventual deals with Qatar—a nation widely known for its close ties with Hamas.
According to Maariv, Elbit secured contracts with Qatar valued at over $100 million. Rafael signed separate deals worth tens of millions of dollars. Israel Aerospace Industries reportedly had an extended relationship with the Gulf state, marked by at least 20 visits by senior company officials to Doha and a high-level Qatari delegation spending an entire day touring the company’s Israeli headquarters.
Much of this cooperation came to a halt after the events of October 7, which disrupted ongoing negotiations and led to the cancellation of some previously signed contracts.
In a statement, Elbit Systems noted: “Elbit Systems’ activities in the international market are subject to the guidelines and restrictions of the Israeli Defense Ministry, and accordingly, the company operates under these guidelines.”
Rafael issued a similar response, saying: “Rafael does not provide information about business partners. Rafael has operated and operates according to the strictest international standards, with regard to the compliance of its business partners and in accordance with the Export Control and Licensing Law.”

Thomas Crooks, the man behind the attempt on Donald Trump’s life, had been exhibiting disturbing and erratic behavior long before the incident. Reports indicate he was seen conversing with imaginary figures and dancing alone in his bedroom. In the weeks leading up to the July shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania, he had even looked up details related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
A comprehensive report from the New York Times compiled information from law enforcement interviews, online activity, and records from Crooks’ past, painting a troubling picture of his deteriorating mental state in the year before the attempted assassination.
Following the attack, Crooks’ father told federal authorities that his son’s mental well-being had started to unravel nearly a year prior to the shooting.
The father, who acknowledged mental health issues in the family, described bizarre behavior, including his son speaking to himself and dancing around his room late at night.
Congressman Clay Higgins of Louisiana, a member of the House task force investigating the shooting, shared that Crooks appeared to be “having conversations with someone that wasn’t there” in the period leading up to the assassination attempt.
“There was a mysteriousness to Thomas Crooks’ descent into madness,” Higgins noted, saying the details emerged during his investigation.
Seven days before the attack, Crooks’s internet activity took a dark turn, with searches that included specifics of John F. Kennedy’s killing in 1963.
“How far was Oswald from Kennedy?” he typed, according to the Times.
Crooks made those inquiries shortly before he climbed onto an unsecured rooftop overlooking Trump’s rally on July 13 and began firing shots.
He managed to hit Trump in the ear and fatally struck an attendee before being shot and killed by a Secret Service sniper positioned nearby.
When law enforcement reached the rooftop, they found Crooks’ lifeless body soaked in blood.

UN investigators accused Israel on Tuesday of committing crimes against humanity in Gaza, specifically citing the mass killing of civilians who had taken refuge in schools and places of worship. The panel called it part of a broader operation aimed at “obliterating Palestinian life.”
The United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem and Israel, plans to deliver its findings to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on June 17.
“We are seeing more and more indications that Israel is carrying out a concerted campaign to obliterate Palestinian life in Gaza,” said Navi Pillay, the former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and current chair of the commission, in a statement.
“Israel’s targeting of the educational, cultural, and religious life of the Palestinian people will harm the present generations and generations to come, hindering their right to self-determination,” Pillay continued.
The commission investigated the destruction of schools, mosques, and heritage sites to evaluate whether international laws were violated.
In March, the commission published a previous report that claimed Israel committed “genocidal acts” by deliberately targeting facilities serving Palestinian women. At the time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed the document as prejudiced and antisemitic.
The new report states that Israeli military strikes have led to the destruction of over 90% of educational institutions and more than half of religious and cultural structures in Gaza.
“Israeli forces committed war crimes, including directing attacks against civilians and willful killing, in their attacks on educational facilities … In killing civilians sheltering in schools and religious sites, Israeli security forces committed the crime against humanity of extermination,” the document asserts.
The conflict escalated when Hamas-led forces launched a surprise assault on Israel in October 2023, killing 1,200 people and kidnapping 251 others, according to Israeli figures.
In response, Israel launched an extensive military operation, which the Gaza health ministry, overseen by Hamas, says has resulted in over 54,000 Palestinian deaths.
The commission noted that damage to the Palestinian education system is not limited to Gaza. It highlighted increased Israeli military activity in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, as well as attacks on students and rising settler violence.
“Israeli authorities have also targeted Israeli and Palestinian educational personnel and students inside Israel who expressed concern or solidarity with the civilian population in Gaza, resulting in their harassment, dismissal or suspension and in some cases humiliating arrests and detention,” the report noted.
“Israeli authorities have particularly targeted female educators and students, intending to deter women and girls from activism in public places,” the commission added.

More than a hundred Democrats in the House opposed a Republican-backed measure on Monday that both denounced the antisemitic attack in Boulder and criticized Colorado’s sanctuary state policies.
The resolution, authored by Colorado Republican Rep. Gabe Evans, passed the House with a vote of 280-113. While the majority of Republicans supported it, 75 Democrats also voted in favor.
Controversy erupted over a portion of the resolution that extended “gratitude to law enforcement, including US Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel, for protecting the homeland,” which many Democrats objected to.
In response, the National Republican Congressional Committee accused Democrats who opposed the resolution of aligning themselves with extremists instead of supporting law enforcement and standing up to antisemitism.
“Democrats have become the pro-terrorist, anti-cop, antisemitic caucus. And they’re proud of it,” the NRCC posted on X.
Just prior to the vote, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York criticized Evans, questioning his motivations.
“Who is this guy? He’s not seriously concerned with combating antisemitism in America. This is not a serious effort,” Jeffries told the press. “Antisemitism is a scourge on America. It shouldn’t be weaponized politically.”
Evans, in turn, said Jeffries’ remarks reflected a deeper problem.
The congressman posted on X that the “wildly offensive sentiment” expressed by Jeffries is “why antisemitism persists.”
He added, “The Left is unserious about finding real solutions. Condemning terrorism is not a joking matter.”
Rep. Dan Goldman of New York, who is Jewish and voted against the resolution, argued on the House floor that the move was more about partisan strategy than fighting hate.
“You weren’t here, Mr. Evans, last term, but there were about 10 antisemitism resolutions that effectively said the same thing solely to score political points,” Goldman said. “We Jews are sick and tired of being used as pawns.”
During his remarks, Evans cited his background in law enforcement and military service, tying Colorado’s policies to national security threats.
“As a former police officer and Army veteran of the global war on terror, I know how Colorado’s radical leftists leaders and laws prioritize illegal immigrants over public safety — allowing antisemitic terrorists like Mohammed Sabry Soliman to strike,” Evans stated.
Authorities say Soliman, an Egyptian citizen who remained in the U.S. after his visa expired, carried out the June 1 attack using improvised firebombs and a flamethrower during a peaceful pro-Israel rally calling for the release of hostages held by Hamas.
Fifteen people suffered injuries during the incident, and Soliman was reported to have yelled “Free Palestine” while carrying out the assault.
Evans concluded, “The passing of my resolution ensures we condemn all acts of antisemitism and affirms that the free and open collaboration between state and local law enforcement with their federal counterparts is key in preventing future attacks like this.”
In contrast to Evans’ proposal, another bipartisan resolution—introduced by Reps. Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey and Joe Neguse of Colorado—addressed rising antisemitism more broadly and passed unanimously, 400-0.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has dismissed the entire roster of experts from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), a group established under the Biden administration that advised on vaccine protocols. This dramatic action marks the first in a series of major policy overhauls under the new leadership.
Kennedy’s decision to replace all 17 scientific advisors who helped shape CDC vaccine guidelines was described by President Trump’s health secretary as “a clean sweep” in an op-ed published in the Wall Street Journal on Monday.
“Without removing the current members, the current Trump administration would not have been able to appoint a majority of new members until 2028,” RFK Jr. wrote.
Kennedy added, “A clean sweep is needed to re-establish public confidence in vaccine science.”
Though he didn’t identify who would be chosen to fill the now-vacant positions, Kennedy announced that the reconstituted committee is set to convene in Atlanta within two weeks.
The sweeping changes have sparked backlash from numerous respected medical professionals and public health organizations, many of whom voiced deep concerns about the implications of the shake-up.

Three kedoshei elyon had one common concept when it came to learning Torah – they were the Ohr Hachaim Hakadosh (Rabbi Chaim ibn Attar 1696-1743) when he came to Eretz Yisroel; the Ramchal (Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto 1707-1746) when he lived in Padua, Italy; and Hagaon, Harav Chaim Volozhiner, (1749-1821) the famous talmid of the Gaon of Vilna.
They each had a yeshiva with ‘around-the-clock’ Torah learning, 24-hours a day, so that there would be no minute when the sound of Torah learning would not be heard in this world. The 24-hour period would be divided into shifts, and as one ended the next would begin.

The United Kingdom announced Tuesday that it will impose sanctions on Israeli ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, joining other countries such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Norway in taking action against the two officials.
The move comes after UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy had previously signaled the decision, referencing statements from the ministers that he described as “monstrous.”
“We are steadfastly committed to the two-state solution and will continue to work with our partners towards its implementation. It is the only way to guarantee security and dignity for Israelis and Palestinians and ensure long-term stability in the region, but it is imperiled by extremist settler violence and settlement expansion,” Lammy said in a joint message alongside his counterparts from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Norway.
“Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich have incited extremist violence and serious abuses of Palestinian human rights. These actions are not acceptable. This is why we have taken action now – to hold those responsible to account.”
Under the newly announced sanctions, Ben-Gvir and Smotrich will be banned from entering the United Kingdom. In addition, UK-based banks and financial institutions will be prohibited from engaging in transactions with either minister.
Responding to the sanctions, Ben-Gvir said, “We survived Pharaoh, we will also survive [Prime Minister] Keir Starmer. I will continue to work for the State of Israel and the people of Israel without fear or intimidation!”
Smotrich also issued a reaction, stating, “I hear that Britain has decided to impose sanctions on me for obstructing the establishment of a Palestinian state. The timing couldn’t be better.”
“Britain has already tried once to prevent us from settling the cradle of our homeland, and we will not allow it to do so again. We are determined to continue building.”
Both ministers have recently opposed the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza. Smotrich declared he would not allow “even a grain of wheat” into the region, while Ben-Gvir insisted, “There is no need to bring in aid [to Gaza]. They have enough.”
In past remarks, Ben-Gvir also called for the replacement of the Al-Aqsa mosque with a Jewish house of worship and suggested Palestinians should leave Gaza. “We must encourage emigration. Encourage the voluntary emigration of the residents of Gaza,” he said in 2023.
In May, the UK said it would halt discussions on an upgraded trade agreement with Israel. The decision followed growing concerns from Prime Minister Keir Starmer over Israel’s military actions in Gaza.
“While the UK government remains committed to the existing trade agreement in force, it is not possible to advance discussions on a new, upgraded Free Trade Agreement with a Netanyahu government that is pursuing egregious policies in the West Bank and Gaza,” the government noted in a statement at the time.
During a speech in Parliament, Foreign Secretary Lammy reiterated that trade talks would remain on hold and condemned Smotrich’s earlier comments about forcibly moving Palestinians, as reported by the New York Times.
“We must call this what it is. It is extremism. It is dangerous. It is repellent. It is monstrous and I condemn it in the strongest possible terms,” Lammy told lawmakers in the House of Commons.
